Haji Hassan Readymix is one of 14 Divisions in the Haji Hassan Group dealing primarily with heavy building materials.

The Division, founded in 1977, was a pioneer of ready mixed concrete in Bahrain, rapidly establishing their reputation for quality and service in the process.

A powerful blend of European and local Management under third party quality system certification guarantees compliance with ISO 9000:2008. Haji Hassan proudly produces high value concrete perfect for any purpose using only the best constituent materials.

HHRM's Central Laboratory has the authority to enforce the quality policy. With an ability to understand customers' needs HHRM can ensure that every delivery meets their expectations. Systems and experienced help make sure they order what they really need and then make sure they get what they order.

Bahrain's Materials Engineering Directorate has certified HHRM concrete mixes, derived to meet all relevant British & American Standards. HHRM is the only readymix supplier in Bahrain to have been continuously approved by the Ministry since the introduction of their accreditation scheme.

To guarantee the use of only the best materials HHR has its own sand washers where materials are washed (using potable water from three of their Reverse Osmosis plants) then screened to ensure they always comply with local and international specifications for either plaster or concrete.

Coarse aggregates from UAE are re-screened to further standardise the quality of material. HHRM is the only company in Bahrain to do this.

Concrete is transported to site by a fleet of over 50 modern, famous-make mixer trucks meeting BS1305, all maintained in peak mechanical condition by a preventative maintenance programs. The same is true for the fleet of concrete pumps with reaches of up to 42m. This reach is vertically extended by concrete placing booms and stationary pumps capable of discharging concrete at heights over 50 storeys.

The fleet provides carrying and placing capacity for four plants capable of producing over 5,000m3 in a single shift.

All plants have a fully automated computerised batching system and each use identical materials affording back up supplies to every site from any location.

Typically operating with standard deviations less than 4N/mm2, a full range of products (from basic mixes to expertly designed Grade 80) are available to meet any and all customer requirements.

Site-based plants can also be provided on request typically requiring 8 weeks from foundation-pouring to commissioning and Ministry certification.

Concrete workability and temperature are constantly monitored to maximise the efficiency of pouring and placing operations. Dedicated ice plants for each production facility provide the necessary cooling power demanded by Bahrain’s Middle Eastern environment.
