The Haji Hassan Ready Mix Division (HHRM) was built up from humble beginnings by the much loved and respected figure of the late Haji Hassan. The full story is given in “Haji Hassan - A Fisherman’s Tale”.

Founded in 1977, HHRM was the pioneer of ready mixed concrete for the building and construction industry in Bahrain creating a reputation for quality and service. Under a strong blend of European and local Management, third party quality system certification guarantees compliance with ISO 9000:2008 and controlled by HHRM Central Laboratory

Bahrain Ministry of Work and Housing certifies concrete mixes, designed to meet Bahrain Standard Specification for Concrete Construction. HHRM is the only readymix supplier in Bahrain to have been continuously approved by the Ministry since the introduction of their accreditation scheme.

To guarantee the use of only the best materials HHRM has their own sand washers where materials are washed and screened (using sweet water from three of their own Reverse Osmosis plants) as necessary to ensure they always comply with local and international specifications.

Coarse aggregates are re-screened in 2 screening lines before use as required. HHRM is the only company to do this.

A fleet of truck mixers meeting BS1305 provides the carrying capacity for four plants capable of producing over 5,000m3 in a single shift. All plants have a fully automated computerised batching system and each use identical materials affording back up supplies to every site from any location. Typically operating with standard deviations less than 4N/mm2, a full range of products (from basic mixes to expertly designed Grade 80) is available to meet any and all customer requirements.

High quality concrete is efficiently delivered and placed with the aid of a fleet of modern mobile concrete pumps, supplemented by placing booms where required.

Site-based plants can also be provided on request typically requiring 8 weeks from foundation-pouring to commissioning and Ministry certification.

Concrete workability and temperature are constantly monitored to maximize the efficiency of pouring and placing operations. Dedicated ice plants for each production facility provide the necessary cooling power demanded by Bahrain’s Middle Eastern environment.
